Lets visit Terra-Khaya Eco Farm

I first heard of Terra-Khaya Eco Farm when I learned about the MyLife Foundation. The MyLife Foundation work with street children. They recently did a project of taking street children out of their current destructive environment and place them in a new one. Often, the result of street life includes drugs, alcohol and abuse at their young and tender age. Dealing with the result of drugs, alcohol and abuse was just not enough for them. The foundation subjected the children to an environment of learning self worth, how to rethink their place on this earth and the community they serve. They worked with the children at this eco farm on how to live on this beautiful planet without having to turn to drugs and/or prostitution. How to grow their own food. Build their own house. Live in community and gave them a glimpse of what an alternative life could look like. Showing them just some of the basic skills that move away from just surviving but to live a life that is amazing and full of possibilities! Love it! Just some things I love about this special place:
Some of us are not street children, but we have a lot of learning to do. I would love to go to this eco farm and learn a few things myself. I also want to get more involved with MyLife Foundation and see how I could possibly offer help.
