Spicy Raw Vegan Samosas

A gorgeous friend of mine and I decided to do a 7 Day Juice Feast. Yeah… clear out all the built up ‘stuff’. Concentrate on life. Taking things slow. Glow. I was pretty amped!

Though smack in the middle of our feast was a Raw Food Abundance Feast. So many feasts to consider! ;-)

Long story short, we decided to start the Juice Feast, go to the Autumn Raw Abundance Feast, eat everything in sight and start our Juice Feast all over again. Sounded like a plan? Yip, thought so too.

It didn’t quite work out like that… but we did make lovely Samosas and a yummy Apple Tart! mmmmm

My beautiful friend got given a dehydrator! Big ups to ‘soon-to-be mother-in-laws’! So we made this amazing recipe. We would change a few ingredients to the filling when we do it again but overall a good meal. Especially after a few days of fasting!

Spicy Raw Vegan Samosas

We found the recipe over here.

The main ingredients for the wrap includes 5 cups baby marrow and 1/4 cup flax seeds grind down to powder.

The rest is for flavour and perfect texture.

  • Olive oil
  • Lime/lemon juice
  • Chili powder
  • Masala
  • Salt

Blend all up until very smooth. Add to dehydrator trays and spread evenly.

My gorgeous friend were extremely skilled in folding these babies…

This link shows you how to fold them and shows the complete recipe.

Have fun with this!

  1. Wow, you have been busy with your raw cookery! I’m intrigued by these, Ive never heard of raw samosas before! What did they taste like?

    • Ha! Ha! I know what you mean. I think raw food should have their own names and not that of the cooked food version. Because it NEVER taste like the original oily cooked version! This one wasn’t crunchy like a somosa would be but the outer wrap was tasty and spicy and the filling was good! it fills you up quite quickly though… we made a cucumber dipping sauce and we really enjoyed it. I will definitely do it again but play with the filling recipe. All that was different was the crunch… but a great meal in my book. ;-)
