Pink Lemonade (Naturally with fresh hibiscus flowers)

The colour of this lemonade is spectacular! It is made with all natural ingredients and no refined sugar here. The star of the show are these beautiful pink Chinese hibiscus we picked from a neighbours garden.

 3 cups Cold water
 ½ cup Honey

Pick Fresh Hibiscus Flowers: Gather fresh pink hibiscus flowers from a tree that hasn't been sprayed with pesticides and is in a safe area. We used Chinese hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) for this recipe.

Clean the Petals: Let the flowers sit for a bit on a table to allow any bugs to leave. Gently wipe the petals with a cloth to remove any dirt or debris.

Prepare the Petals: Pluck all the petals from the flowers and place them in a bowl.

Steep the Petals: Pour a cup of boiling water over the petals and let them sit for about 5 minutes until the petals turn yellow and release their color into the water.

Remove the Petals: Take out the yellow petals from the water.

Add Honey: Stir in half a cup of honey into the warm hibiscus water until it dissolves completely.

Pour into bottle: Pour the honey-infused hibiscus liquid into a bottle.
